Celebrating its 20th anniversary, and the amazing work being done by Asian American Pacific Islander filmmakers around the world, this year’s Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival (HAAPIFEST), running from Thursday, May 30 to Friday, June 14, will present more than 100 movies, ranging from three-minute shorts to full-length features, that celebrate stories from all parts of the AAPI community.

Saturday’s opening night reception of The 19th Annual Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival (HAAPIFEST), attracted 75 attendees, who enjoyed a panel featuring the makers and subjects of some of the festival’s films, food and drink, and a screening of the Filipino-American movie “Kapwa Texas.”

The 19th Annual Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival (HAAPIFEST), running from Saturday, June 3 to Sunday, June 11, offers over forty movies, ranging from three-minute shorts to full-length features, that celebrate stories from all parts of the AAPI community.
